Profile

I have been an Urban Sketcher since 2009, serving for many years as an international blog correspondent from Japan. I am the founder and administrator of Urban Sketchers Japan on Facebook, as well as its blog and Flickr group.
As a freelance illustrator, I also teach watercolor and pastel classes to senior citizens at local learning centers. From time to time, I work as a courtroom sketch artist, always making the most of my on-location sketching experience.

2009年よりアーバンスケッチャーとして活動を開始。日本から国際ブログ特派員を長年務め、Urban Sketchers Japan のFacebookグループやブログ、Flickrグループを立ち上げ、現在も管理・運営を続けています。
フリーランスのイラストレーターとして多方面で活動しながら、地域の学習センターではシニア世代を対象に水彩画・パステル画を指導。時に法廷画家としても活躍し、常に「現場で描くこと」に情熱を注いでいます。

My workshop will let you know about how to capture people. Capturing their natural posture, facial expression in certain environments such as at a festive

background outside or like in the cozy inside coffee shops. To include the location information, such as the feel of space in your sketch, adds story of the location and that records the time of the people's actual presence that day at that time.

ワークショップについて

私のワークショップは「人物とその情景を魅力的にとらえる」ことがテーマです。祭りの熱気あふれる屋外シーンや、カフェの心地よいひとときなど、その場ならではの背景とともに自然な姿や表情を描く方法をお伝えします。空間の雰囲気をスケッチに取り入れることで、作品は「その日、その時、そこに人がいた」という物語を宿し、かけがえのない記録となります。
