FRIDAY, NOV 7, 2025
1:30 pm: Sketch Tokyo Station, Marunouchi side Meeting place is the Marunouchi South Exit across from the KITTE building on ground level (outside). In case of rain, the meeting place is the same, but on the underground level.
We will sketch together, and assist people in purchasing the express train tickets with reserved seating to KATSUURA. (3610 yen each way)
For those arriving early, there are many lockers in the B1 level of the Marunouchi side of Tokyo Station.
Also, the KITTE building, the Maru building, and the Shin-Maru building have many restaurants, convenience stores, coffee shops, and nice shopping as well. For stationery supplies, there is a Tsutaya (basic supplies) in the Maru building, and an Angers Bureau (lots of inks and fountain pens) in the KITTE building, as well as a Traveler’s shop on the B1 level of Tokyo station, Marunouchi side.
In case of rain, there is PLENTY to sketch in the underground areas or the buildings themselves. Shin-Maru building has some beautiful furnishings reminiscent of Art Deco style, and the 4th floor of the KITTE building has large windows overlooking Tokyo station.
4:00pm: Throw down
After the throw down, we will explore the Tokyo station shopping area with bentos (lunchboxes), sake, snacks, and many other things.
Dinner will be bentos purchased in Tokyo station, eaten on the express train. USk Tokyo members will guide you to the places to purchase bentos and beverages.
5:40pm: Leave from the Keiyo Line entrance meeting place to meet to catch the 6pm train.

Arrive Katsuura, head to hotels.

MONDAY, NOV 10 — Sketch meet up in Tokyo — GINZA at 11am
Visit Itoya, the legendary stationery store. Sketch the stunning architecture of Ginza, backstreets of traditional buildings, the Kabukiza theater, and maybe head to nearby Tsukiji for some exceptional sushi.
TUESDAY, NOV 11 — Sketch meet up in Tokyo — SHINJUKU at 10am
Visit Seikaido, the legendary art supply store, Shinjuku Gyoen, a beautiful Japanese garden, Golden Gai, a district of dozens of tiny bars and restaurants crammed into a tiny area, Hanazozo Shrine, a lovely shrine with vermillion Torii gates, and so much more.
