USk Tokyo invites you to our Sketch Adventure!

Join USk Tokyo, Boso Sketch Together, and our overseas sketching friends to sketch together in Tokyo and Chiba!  

Take a workshop from a sketching instructor, watch demos, and go on sketch walks led by USk Tokyo and Boso Sketch Together members.  

SCHEDULE

Nov 7: Tokyo Station (Sketch meet, buy train tickets, take express train to Katsuura)

Nov 8 & 9: Katsuura (Workshops, Demos, Sketchwalks, Welcome Party)

Nov 10 & 11: Tokyo (Sketch meets, Drink and Draw)

The November 7, 10, and 11 sketch meets are free of charge, and no RSVP is required.

The November 8-9 weekend event of workshops, demos, and sketch walks in Katsuura is 5,000 yen.  Tickets on SALE

Each participant will be able to choose one small group workshop, and attend as many demos and sketchwalks as they like!  (Workshop details)

WHY KATSUURA?

Katsuura, a port city in Chiba with a 430-year old morning market, is a community of artisans and creators.  Our event is scheduled to happen with their semiannual Stella Market, where local makers showcase their wares and demonstrate their talents.  The main locale for workshops will be Küste, the beautiful Arts and Culture Center of Katsuura.

COSTS

The cost will be 5,000 yen for the two days of events (Saturday and Sunday) November 8-9 in Katsuura. Tickets will go on sale on Sunday, September 28 at 2:00pm Tokyo time.  LINK

Hotels in the area are about 20,000 yen for two nights for one person. It’s a small town, and we have a list of hotels. There are also hotels one train station away in Onjuku. Hotel list

The express train from Tokyo to Katsuura (reserved seating) is 3610 yen.  (There are regular trains available at a slightly lower cost with transfers.) Tickets can be purchased on the day of travel.

There will be a welcome party on Saturday night (RSVP when you purchase your event ticket) in Katsuura, including dinner and drinks.  Cost: between 5,000 -8,000 yen.

DETAILS from HND or NRT

If you are flying in, Katsuura is accessible from either Tokyo-Narita or Tokyo-Haneda airports.  If you are flying in on Friday, Nov 7, it may be easiest to go straight to Katsuura from the airport.
